Solid cable, almost identical to the original, great value!
This item arrived neatly coiled and tied, sealed in an attractively printed retail box – it would look great as a gift, and details all compatible devices etc. It’s a small box, so even in the Amazon sleeve, it fit easily through the letter box. Small box = less packaging = environmentally friendly too!
The connectors at each end were protected from scratching by thin cellophane wrapping, they are securely moulded to the cable and won’t pull or fall off. The cable is slightly thinner than the original Apple one, and maybe slightly less flexible. Unfortunately, it’s also desirable to cats, as fresh teeth marks after less than an hour of use can testify!
The length of cable was just right for me, at 1m, suiting laptop use, plus being plugged into a desktop computer and a wall power supply.
I tested synchronisation and fast file transfer with the lightning end both ways up. The lightning end was shaped in such a way that it easily clipped into the base of a phone that had a quite thick case on it, with extrusions on the bottom. It works just as well with iPhone 6 and 5S, as it does with iPad mini.
This is clearly a high quality cable, a great replacement if you lose the original, or need a spare, so I can recommend it.
