There was an interesting discussion yesterday on Facebook where I felt compelled to comment, and had that comment challenged. I’m all for a healthy debate, but unfortunately it ended relatively quickly, so I’ve been trying to extrapolate an outcome here, and challenge my own thinking.

Is Facebook encouraging scams and pornography?
My reports are being actively ignored…
Lots of people use Facebook, from all demographics and age ranges. The platform publishes community standards which it claims it expects all users to uphold. My recent experiences suggest that not only do Facebook not care whether their standards are being upheld, but that they actively reject reports of breaches.
Twitter bites the dust
Another of my time leeches bit the dust this morning. After a little bit of hoop jumping (sooooo much less than with FaceBook), I managed to deactivate my Twitter account.
